Becoming a Pediatrician
- If you want to work with children do you want to be in the medical field? And take many years of it ?
- If so, in high school it is good to take as many classes for math, english, and science and keep your grades to get in a good college.
- In college keep your grade point average as high as possible, in your spare time volunteer with children at a daycare/daycamp or child center.
- After you graduate from your 4 year college, you would take a test called the MCATs .
- The MCATs is a very important test that you want to study on and have good grades so you can get into medical school.
- You would want to go into a school that is the best and that you can afford and keep you grades up in medical school. An average undergraduate pediatrician goes into medical school for 4-6 years.
- After medical school, you can work as a general pediatrician in your own office of in a hospital with other pediatricians.
